Collecting 1970s Topps baseball wax, rack and cello packs, as well as PCGS graded Half Cents, Large Cents, Two Cent pieces and Three Cent Silver pieces.
I appreciate your collection. I think the only way Mrs TNP appreciates your collection will be based on its appreciation. Otherwise, your relationship may depreciate if there is no appreciation because your appreciation for your own collection doesn't matter, except only to you. I hope you appreciate that response.
The biggest lesson I've learned in this hobby, and in life, is that if you have a strong conviction, you owe it to yourself to see it through. Don't sell yourself, or your investments, short. Unless the facts change. Then sell it all.
Like most wives out, they don't know jack-*ick about the sport, more-less about some silly baseball card or person on it. And if you have one of the few that does, Congrats!!! There are a few simple rules to follow- that will make BOTH sides happy. 1. Manage the bank accounts 2. Get the mail 1st ---the most critical!!!!! 3. Give her allowance per month/ treat her to dinner-out 4. If she ask, NEVER tell her what the card s really worth.
PS. What does the dog get out of this??? Riding shot-gun to buy more cards?

LOL - I would also add:
5. If she asks, NEVER tell her what you really paid for the card.
