  • I think you answered your own question with this statement.."Should I continue to collect Chris Webber? "

2 kinds of collectors,Ones who collect a player out of their fanhood/admiration for him, And ones that collect BV's as opposed to cards...

If your not a Webber fan and just want a big $ collection, Do waht this other dude said and switch to Kobe or Vince..image

lol thanks lantz. but in my defense i have over 45 different rookies of kobe and most if not all of them were purchased between 96-97 and 97-98 .
  • If the collection is all about resale value then sell it. If you admire Chris Webber for the talent he is a genuinly enjoy collecting all his cards then keep collecting.

I collect all graded former U of A basketball players, none of which I really plan on making money on. It's not about the money to me, it's about the fun.

Try collecting just graded cards for a while for something new. Graded cards are forever encased and have a set value unlike raw cards. In the end it's your call. Best of luck to you with whatever you decide.
Looking for former University of Arizona NBA RC's in PSA or BGS 9's/GEM MINT grades. Die hard University of Arizona and Bay Area Sports fan.
  • Kobecollector- Then, good for you. I'd like to see how many others were fans since then!!image

lantz i know what your saying. but i would think that most people who are laker fans probally started collecting kobe early where maybe non-laker fans probally jumped on later
  • yeah take the people i collect i do it cause i like the people i would never sell or trade the cards i have of the players i collect unless i got doubles.

Lantz- I have liked kobe since the middle of his rookie year i just started collecting cards a year ago.

  • yes... dont listen to everyone that says no... just because the Kings got beat out to the finals in 7 games and he didn't play well doesn't mean you shouldn't collect him anymore.

CWebb is a great player... (right now he has the highest dollar contract from a team)
I would put CWebb and KG in the same file... since they didn't make it to the finals but they are superstars and they work hard at there game.
Desmond Mason and the Sonics didn't make it past round 1 this year, but no matter what, I will still collect him.
    I collect any D.Masons I dont have
