NBA needs to take a good hard look at the officiating!!!!

Big Laker fan here!!!
But the officiating in the NBA sucks!!! Missed calls. No calls. Make-up calls.
What the heck is going on? To me it brings the game down. Need to make it more strict,
more consistent. Tighter officiating would also make the players work on their game &
respect the game.

I heard that they are bringing in the instant replay for next season. Now THAT'S going to be very interesting.

I feel there are too many inconsistencies. One time down you can hang on the guy. Next time down you get called for the touch foul! Both teams experience this.

I can't wait until instant replay. The Lakers are just lucky they didn't have it this year, because there season would've been over after game 5, because I believe it was game 4 that Walker hit a 3 after the buzzer and they won by one on the Horry 3 at the buzzer. But something does have to be done w/ the officiating, I don't watch to much because of that and all the crazy gansta! type players

I agree totally on strict across the board standards. Now special calls for special players. If they commit a foul they get called, Period.

The gangsters, thugs, and cry babies. Why is it all NBA players feel they have to cry when they get a foul called on them. It's ridiculous. When I say all I mean every single NBA player (- a few handfulls) complain about fouls called against them. Kobe and Vlade were both classic tonight. Kobe especially, he cried like a 6 month old who just got his pacifier taken from him tonight. He's a punk for elbowing Bibby in the jaw last game, another call the refs blew.

The NBA is going downhill fast.

Of course you would say "Kobe especially" because your a Kobe hater. You act like Kobe complained on EVERY SINGLE CALL. I'm sure he doesn't just complain about just anything. If he thinks he got fouled, then it's sometimes human instinct to say something about it. You would do the same thing if you were in the same position...because it's human nature. But, in some cases, people over-do it. Classic example is Vlade DiFLOP. Here's a guy who whines and complains about EVERYTHING! Here's your true example of a guy who needs his pacifier given back to him. And, Kobe didn't didn't elbow Bibby on purpose, and besides, that call could have went EITHER WAY regardless...because it was easy to see that Bibby was holding him BEFORE Kobe even hit in the jaw. He's not a punk...he's an aggressive basketball player, who plays with all he's got. Don't be bitter just because you wanted the Lakers to lose the game, and they didn't.

How can you say the NBA is going downhill fast? This series is a GREAT example of how the NBA is going UPHILL.

They are very inconsistant. one game they favor one team, the next game they favor the other. You never get even officiating.

Some of you Kobe fans need to learn how to ignore people or roll with the punches. Either way you will grow up in the process.

And I'm not a Kobe hater. I just happened to notice how many fouls he whined about when they were called on him as well as when he thought he got fouled and didn't run back on defense because he thought whining about it to refs was more important (sorry about the run on sentence).

Vlade is just as bad if not worse. He's the epidomy of a whiner with Kobe not far behind.

I think it is a problem in all of sports. Baseball they argue strikes. In football the recievers argue they were interfered with and in basketball everyone whines about the fouls. I think they should just play the game and shut-up!
