I'm curious as to why over the last three months I've seen the 72' Staubach PSA 8 range from $1200-$4000. I have a new PSA 7.5 that I'm wanting to sell, but I'm trying to price it right without leaving much on the table.



I'm new to the PSA world and I've been doing research on buying and selling graded cards, plus selling on EBay since I've never sold anything on it.



Any insight would be much appreciated!

In May of 2015 a 1972 Topps Staubach sold for $4450. Since then, we had a 9 sell for $14,050, then as high as $17,766 and a couple of days ago for $11,788.



So a rising tide lifts all ships... when the 9s go out of reach folks bid up the 8's.



Now as to *why* the 9s went from $4450 to $17,766 in a little over a year... unknowable...
