Who's Going to the PCGS Invitational at the Venetian in Vegas?

Went to a couple in the past, mainly just to drop off submissions. I was thinking about flying in but more for the social aspects to meet with dealers and collectors, something that is not always so easy at the frenzied bourses of major convention center shows.

I have plans to be there. Went to the last two Invitationals held in Sept-Oct. in 2014 and 2015 and had a blast! The PCGS Invitational has become my favorite of all shows. TomT.

And Lauta Legend has what looks like one hell of an auction going on at the show.

  • I will be there attending my first PCGS Show. Should be fun to meet some members of the Board and drop off a submission.

I will probably stop by at least one day since I am local, but I am usually only there for an hour or two.

I will actually make this show, it's an excuse for a mini Vegas vacation with my wife and youngest daughter. These shows are small, but you can really spend time with the dealers and shoot the breeze while looking at some great inventory. Plus the food spread is outstanding, so come hungry!

Still deciding here. Wouldn't want to go all the way to find a empty or non-receptive bourse, as discussing the current market with other dealers (those more intimately involved with its eccentricities) would be important to my visit.

It is usually a small venue with a dozen or so dealers. I was going to try to go today, but got stuck with a dentist appt. Otherwise I would report back on attendance. Tomorrow or Friday would be the latest I would go though since I've heard most of the dealers are gone by Friday. Only a few waiting on grading will be there.

I was there today for a couple of hours. It seemed pretty well attended by dealers, but a couple I spoke to were already on the way out. The food spread was great as always. If you are in the market for mid to high end coins there were plenty to look at. Most dealers you have to ask to see their coins. Only about half have any in the case. Most have them in boxes if you request to see them. Ian from Great Collections was there and I was able to drop off some coins to him which I wasn't expecting. This was the first time I've talked to him in person, and I gotta say he's a really friendly down to earth guy.

I was able to sell a few coins but only bought one. I may try and go back tomorrow because several of the dealers were busy and waiting for coins to come back from grading. May be some fresh stuff.
