You are good. All of the 5 key signs needed are there.

Front - premier in yellow ribbon and arrow are different shades of yellow/ red white and blue colors are clean.

Back - decimal point in scoring avg is present, Bulls logo has separations in lines on eyes, basketball logo you can see the seams.

The fakes have gotten much better recently, and clear all these classic points. There are still subtleties to pick up on though. They even have them in psa holders that look scary close to being real. This one looks good to me though.
  • Thanks all for the feedback! As always, you all never fail to give concise information.

+1. These are the things to look for to rule out the obvious fakes. Good luck.

I am not aware of these still not being the key things to look for, and if they pass the test for these markers I feel pretty confident in the card. What other items do you look for outside of these when evaluating this card? Thank you in advance for the help.

I am with KC, what are the other things to look for? The Jordan is on my bucket list so I am interested.

I'm happy to help look at one anytime someone is considering buying one. Last week I notified someone that had built a very popular high-end re-packed breaking product that he had purchased a fake psa 9 Jordan. He had no idea but, agreed with me that it had too many things off and was very gracious that I pointed it out.

Here is a fake that is done very well:

    Looks real to me.

Why do you think it's fake?

That is one nice fake, it even looks like it could have a shot at a PSA10 but alas maybe the one soft top corner made it a 9.

The slab is fake too. Look closely at the font of Michael Jordan (white font in blue area) on the front. And the "Chcago Bulls" text on the back above the logo.

They've gotten really good at creating the fakes. The common scam that is going around, they will find a high-end card on eBay and message the seller to trade a psa 8 or 9 Jordan RC. The scammer will even offer to ship first. Because most people can't tell these are fake cards in fake slabs. The serial # and bar code even checks out because they copied it from known real cards.

This is no offense to you Davis, but can anyone confirm that it is a fake psa slab? I know there are many people here that have talked about seeing fake psa slabs. And I've never seen one, only heard about them (mostly on these forums) and would be curious to know all the details.

I'm not an expert on flip fonts, but I know there are guys here that would be able to point out some flaws.

Here's a couple threads from other forums on fake Jordans in fake PSA slabs:

It's funny, some guys here are very quick to point out fake flips/labels/cases etc... But now no one is to be found lol.

Thanks for the great info Davis!

When viewing the scan provided by Davis, I see too much distance between 2 of the cards borders and the rails of the acrylic frame. I'd immediately be suspicious of this, as a Jordan rookie most certainly would not escape the grading room looking like that one does. I'd suspect trimming or Min Size on a quick glance. Then I'd look at the flip and see all the crazy font misalignment and know for sure.

Just to be clear, the scammers are making fake PSA flips and holders. And they are getting very good at it. This is not a case of fake Jordan's being slabbed by PSA.

IMHO PSA's number one priority should be to continue to improve the cases. Counterfeits could eventually ruin the graded card market if not.
