The latest JRCS census listed 22 coins finest 62 average of all 22 is 27. 3 of the 22 were AU. Hope this helps a little.

You, and anyone else, can join the John Reich Collectors Society by going to JRCS.org and downloading the membership application and $25 later you will be a member.
Q: When does a collector become a numismatist?

A: The year they spend more on their library than their coin collection.

A numismatist is judged more on the content of their library than the content of their cabinet.

    Flaws in the system.
The census is not the tell all, it is only the die marriages reported by members of the JRCS which does not include all collectors. What is reported is at times guesstimates i.e. the grades shown are sometimes of raw coins that the members grade themselves and are at times over graded and misattributed since no one is reviewing these coins and there are no verifications. I have found errors made by members re grade and attribution in a few census over the years, so one must take this into account when relying on the info, but it is still info and thus incredibly valuable. Therefore rarities can be off albeit not by that much since the experts at the JRCS have so much incredible experience that they have seen pretty much everything over all the years they have been searching for these pieces. Probably the only thing one can reliably count on is the rarities established by the learned members although no one is perfect but their consensus is pretty darn spot on most of the time.
Where the problem lies in what is reported by the general members. Valuable info but technically flawed as previously mentioned imho.
The PCGS pop report is also flawed since it covers only the dimes sent to them for attribution, so many more are raw so many more are not sent in for attribution and so many more are misattributed by PCGS and lastly PCGS misguides coins also.
So take all this info with a grain of salt and due your own DD, you may come up with a completely different answer, I know I have albeit it is pretty rare.
Just thought you should be aware.........food for thought.
