Memory Lane Goof Up

As I am sitting at my computer I just received an email from a guy saying that he received a card that was intended for me from Memory Lane. He sent the email to Memory Lane and copied me. I immediately called Memory Lane to see what happened. The lady I spoke with found the email and is contacting the guy to try to fix the issue. I am thankful that the guy is honest enough to contact Memory Lane and copy me on the email. This is the first time I have won anything from them. Depending on how this is handled, it may be the last.

I always find it odd when people find the need to post things like this before the problem is resolved. Rough world out there

I hope it all works out. Mistakes do happen.

Accidents happen and when they do it's about how they're handled. But it's not necessarily a negative post against the company. I see it as sharing info. I have an item I'm expecting and I won't go into details but after my last phone call with them and now this it does have me a little concerned that perhaps at least one employee isn't on top of their game.

How do you know the problem will be resolved? image

Good or bad, something will give. Both are resolutions

    You're lucky James.

    I'm sure it'll work out.

A few years back, I did an auction for Jay Wolt - my first offering was a PSA 8 78T cello pack; nothing noteworthy that I had recently won.

    Memory Lane bid 400 bucks!

This has happened to me several times with other auction houses. Always works out, since the vast majority of people are honest.

Always looking for Topps Salesman Samples, pre '51 unopened packs, E90-2, E91a, N690 Kalamazoo Bats, and T204 Square Frame Ramly's

Sounds like it will work out since the mistaken recipient appears to be an honest person. Good luck James.

I just received the card that was mis-shipped. Memory Lane wanted the guy to ship the card back to them and they would ship to me. He suggested that he ship directly to me. I'm glad that he is an honest collector and that this issue is resolved.

    James,
Glad it worked out and good to hear about someone being honest and shipping the card to you. What did you pick up?
