Links to auctions. I took a bit of gamble and started both at a dollar and no reserve. Hope I don't regret that. Just started the auctions last night so good luck to anyone interested.
The anticipated sale price fell into a zone where I prefer to use Fedex small box. I trust them more than USPS. So with insurance and shipping I wasn't sure exactly where it would come in (not cheap)but didn't feel this was unreasonable. I will take your feedback though and lower it some. I normally do $3 or $4 for USPS cards well under $1000.
Well. I tried to revise the shipping and since there are bids it wouldn't let me. So, if anyone from the board here wins shipping will be free. Just message me that you are on the PSA board with the payment or PM me here and shipping will be free.
I'm sure shipping with insurance will be close to your shipping charge. Even if it isn't, Any buyer with any sense knows to include shipping charges when they bid. Just the insurance on the Gretzky or the Marino will be $20 or more.

Thanks Tim. Yeah, I am not ashamed to use some colorful descriptive language. Got to keep up with the auction houses. Isn't that how they get all those record shattering prices? There can't be more to it can there?
Thanks James. For some reason shipping gets controversial on higher end items. Some potential buyers feel if they are spending X amount on an item, then shipping should just be thrown in. That adds up as seller if you eat the cost all the time. To properly ship a high end item is costly. I expect I might pay a little more on shipping when I buy an expensive item. If not that is great, but I always look and just factor that into my bid. There seems to be a wide variance in practices on shipping charges with high end items yet some buyers have strong opinions on the matter. Auction houses charge shipping, buyers premium, and taxes sometimes and people just accept that. I am happy to help someone on the board be taking off shipping at least for these auctions if they are interested in one of these cards. I wouldn't do it all the time, but feels good to give something back to our group.

shipping is unlike cats and not free.
the cards will most likely end up at that threshold
and you get a lil better piece of mind w fedex, imo.
dave is top-notch and not paying the mortgage via shipping profits,
i can assure you.
