Why not strike more American Liberty medals - in bronze?

Issuing a bronze version of the American Liberty medal would permit those collectors who missed out on the silver version to obtain the design at a reasonable cost, while preserving the scarcity and value of the 25,000 silver medals. A win-win!

Perhaps they could "mint to demand" for a specified period of time, and strike the medals at the Philadelphia and Denver mints with appropriate mintmarks to differentiate them from the silver versions.

The thought occurred to me, too. I especially like your idea of P and D mints.
  • I dont like too many versions of the same product. I quit collecting ASE for this very reason.

Fascinated with the allegory of our new products. Old designs in palladium and platinum would be good too. Fractionally speaking.

I usually don't either, but in this case a worthy design has become a victim of artificially restricted supply, and for many collectors it is now financially out of reach. This would give everyone a chance to own at least one specimen at an affordable price.
