Question on which service I should use.

After a long hiatus from the boards I came back because I knew I could get a solid answer here.

While I was at the National I re-upped my PSA membership to get 6 free subs. Of course I now have issues with 2 of the subs.

1992 Donruss Elite Signature Series Cal Ripken Jr /5000
1992 Classic Best Nolan Ryan Auto /3100

The problem is that they won't grade these cards on a free voucher due to the autos being prior to 1998. So before I drop $100 getting these graded, which service is preferred and will produce the best return on my investment?

1. Dual Grading
2. Dual Authentication
3. Card grade only with auto authenticated
4. Auto grade only with card authenticated

I'm assuming option #1 is preferred.

The vast majority go with #3. From experience, most don't care about auto grades.

The Ripken should be graded by BGS.

Now that blue flips are "trading cards" #4 should only be used for altered cards. #3 and it should be more than $25 each

Thanks. Knew coming here was my best bet. I got away from the hobby for a while right as the dual grades were coming out. Guess I just assumed that it would become the new standard.
