Christie's Auction - "The Golden Age of Baseball"

I shared this with the guys over at Net54, but thought it was too cool not to link here as well.

Auction Link

I can't remember an auction with this much premium material. Not only premium, but it seems almost exclusively (80%+) pre-war material. It'll be interesting to watch!

That is simply the most insane auction I have ever seen.

    That Shoeless Bat. My God.

And here I thought the imminent Goldin auction had the hot fire.

This Christie's auction is great for the broader hobby.

That catalogue is just for day 1! I can't find day 2, but it's absurd. Some very impressive post war PSA rookies too.

The signed Philadelphia A's panoramic was on Antiques Roadshow recently. It was one of the "vintage" shows FROM 2001, where they provide a 2016 estimated value update. It is on the PBS web-site. They had it between $15k-$20k in both 2001 and 2016.
