He is likely to end up in Denver. Maybe a fitting ending is Romo beats the Cowboys in the Super Bowl. Now that would be ironic

Romo is currently the highest paid Clipboardback in the NFL. There are worse jobs. It would be a strange twist if he somehow wound up back on the field at a crucial juncture this season. Jerry Jones still sees him as an investment.

The Steelers are always dangerous for one specific reason - their coach. Tomlin's unpredictability keeps things interesting and usually gives them a chance. The Steelers are equally endangered to fail in the playoffs or completely miss out for one specific reason - their coach.

On any given day Big Ben can rip a secondary to shreds! That is my biggest fear of the Steelers.

Yes, we could do much better on both. Jones is still a terrible owner and Garrett's coaching is NOT why we are winning.

Jerry Jones has basically said he hopes Prescott gets injured so Romo can bring the Cowboys to the Super Bowl, LOL!! This is so hilarious!

What an idiot! He shouldn't be allowed to own the Cowboys! The biggest problem with his stupid dream is that Romo isn't worth a crap and would pull one of his stupid game losers and take us out of the run for the SB......AGAIN!!!!

Looks like this may be a distraction. Dak may be hearing footsteps,Jerry's not Tony's.

Jones purchased the Cowboys for 150 million back in 1989 and the franchise is now worth well over 4 billion dollars, so he can't be too much of an idiot, LOL..

First - Do you really think this is a good thing for the team??
Second - The Cowboys would be worth the same amount no matter who was the owner.

That is not necessarily true~Jones has done a great job marketing the team since he purchased it. In any case, I wouldn't call a billionaire of that success level an idiot, even if he does say some questionable things. After all, the team has won 3 Super Bowls with him as owner, and is a strong contender for a 4th this year.

JJ is the Steinbrenner of football. Love em or hate em they brought winners to their respective franchises.

Jerry pulled off that trade with Minn. and won 3 SB's because of that. Since then was dismal until lately.

But saying it would be great for Prescott to get hurt so Tony the "choker" could come in a take them to the SB is just plain the most insane statement I have ever heard. Come on man........Prescott is the reason (along with Zeke) that the Cowboys are where they are!!!!!!

  • grote15grote15 Posts: 29,696 ✭✭✭✭✭

It is truly a bizarre statement by an owner whose team is 11-1 and headed towards the #1 seed. Tony must be Jones' long lost son, lol..

2 picks in less than 3 quarters?? Jerry just phoned the sidelines to get Tony warmed up! LOL!

    LOL!

I know that late in the 4th quarter, I'd rather have Romo in there than Dak. Romo was one of the best with late game comebacks.

He would be injured in Cleveland even before the ball hit his hands from the snap. He could win a Championship with the talent Denver has on both sides of the ball. He doesn't need to be the best player on Denver. In Dallas he was surrounded by marginal talent and had to be the best player.

DM. You need a team that simply never has an off day. A team that always wins, never loses. Have you thought about adopting the Harlem Globetrotters?

In desperate need of primetime exposure, NBC has decided to flex every remaining Cowboys game into the Sunday night time slot in hopes of grabbing an Emmy next year for the Overhype Drama category.

It's not that they lost a game. It's how they lost and who they lost to. 7 points is PATHETIC!!! And the giants ARE NOT that good!!

    How awesome would this be:

Super Bowl LII Denver (with Romo) v Dallas

Late in the 4th Quarter, Romo leads Denver to a GW TD with 0:01 on the clock.

    What would Dimeman's excuses be?
