Is Ebay's "Newly Listed" Search Function Broken

Just today, as I enact my favorite searches and select "newly listed", which means de-selecting the default "best match" I get an endless string of coin listings unrelated to my search input

I don't think I changed any settings. Is anyone else getting this?

Ebay has changed their search function dramatically lately. I'm tired of the constant unnecessary "improvements" (quite the opposite I find). It seems to have problems periodically displaying results correctly, and can be a real pain to even find the ability to sort by newly listed.

I tried a search yesterday for a particular coin, and tons of other stuff completely unrelated came up.. It is so annoying!! Come on, basic search functions should be the easiest thing they need to handle.
