Edited my comment about the checklist. Man, that's a sweet looking card. Too bad the centering wasn't just a slight bit better, as that's a $5,000.00 card in a "9". A "7" will get ya $400.00.

Corners are Gem Mint too. If centered well it would have had a fight for a 10 thats for sure.
It still has a chance at a 9 I think.
Mine doesnt look to far off? Can only hope right.

Very excited to pull it. This is the 3 pack Ive busted from this issue over the last 10 years. Other 2 were total duds OC.

It might be good enough for an 8. Looks like around 65/35.

    It definitely fits centering wise.

    I measure it 56/44 T/B and 42/58 L/R.

    Awesome pack!

What poster did you get in the pack?

Maravich has a decent shot for a 9 just based on some of the same centering on recent sales.
PSA could give you anywhere from 9, 8.5, to 8 on the card, depending on who the grader might be.

Congrats on a monster hit! That is on the short list of top cards for the decade in hoops. Good luck in your sub. I agree the range looks to be anywhere from an 8 to a 9. If you get an 8, I would send it back until it gets something higher.

That card as a "7" I will pay wayyyyyyy more than the average 7. My guess is it slips into an 8.5 holder.

I was thinking of doing same day grading on the Unitas. Is that overkill?
And Ill probably wait for a better special for the commons.

I did same day grading. Didnt even think to check the angle or size as it was from a pack. Guess Ill try again later or maybe try SGC.

Derek, that is disappointing on the unitas and I feel your pain. Send it back in a bulk or regular sub and I almost guarantee that it grades.

I pulled this guy from a cello a few years back, the cello was part of a large lot I bought when heritage was selling these from the antique road show find.

    image

I sent it in on an express service and it came back "TRIMMED"

I immediately called and they took it in for a review with the head grader and they then decided it was good and graded it an 8. I thought the card was easily an 8.5 but after it coming back trimmed I did not have the courage to crack it out and send it back

here is a link to that thread if anyone wants to go down a pack break memory lane with me image

If you have no plans to sell you should wait awhile. I have had better luck after waiting months if not years to resub.
