Liquidating my collection for the 3rd and final time. Time for others to enjoy what I have enjoyed over the last several decades. Money could be put to better use.
I know right. I was thinking it was like the 1969-70 checklist which is big bucks. LOL
Enjoy.

It still has a chance at a 9 I think.
Mine doesnt look to far off? Can only hope right.
PSA 9

Very excited to pull it. This is the 3 pack Ive busted from this issue over the last 10 years. Other 2 were total duds OC.
Edited my comment about the checklist. Man, that's a sweet looking card. Too bad the centering wasn't just a slight bit better, as that's a $5,000.00 card in a "9". A "7" will get ya $400.00.
It might be good enough for an 8. Looks like around 65/35.

It definitely fits centering wise.
I measure it 56/44 T/B and 42/58 L/R.

1985 Topps Football (starting in psa 8) - #9 - started 05/21/06
George Brett, Roger Clemens and Tommy Brady.
What poster did you get in the pack?
Maravich has a decent shot for a 9 just based on some of the same centering on recent sales.
PSA could give you anywhere from 9, 8.5, to 8 on the card, depending on who the grader might be.
Second Video
Wow that's a great pack Derek.
I like the Pistol card.
Bosox1976
I think that's Calvin murphy's rookie too
It is. $50.00 in an "8" and $275.00 in a "9".

I just opened 3 1960 FB Cellos and 1 1959 FB cello.
Mostly OC stuff but I get this out of it all.
.
I gotta quit this! No more. I always feel a little guilty after opening a pack this old afterwards . But it is so dang hard to hold a pack and not open it.

The biggest lesson I've learned in this hobby, and in life, is that if you have a strong conviction, you owe it to yourself to see it through. Don't sell yourself, or your investments, short. Unless the facts change. Then sell it all.
Good luck on your sub Derek.
Pics of a few HOFers from the 60 packs.
Collecting 1970s Topps baseball wax, rack and cello packs, as well as PCGS graded Half Cents, Large Cents, Two Cent pieces and Three Cent Silver pieces.
I can show you a pile of OC cards if you would like.
If that were only true! Im only showing the wins. Lol

LOL. Still mighty impressive, though~I also remember that 1970 Rose you pulled~didn't that grade PSA 10?

I still miss that card today. I hope to buy it back someday.
Ok guys. I need to get out of my house! I am ripping apart history.

I'm feeling inspired, I may have to rip something for opening weekend
Nice pull!
Please post the grades when ya get'm.
I was thinking of doing same day grading on the Unitas. Is that overkill?
And Ill probably wait for a better special for the commons.
Will do.

If it's pricey? Would be for me.
Don't mind the time.
After all, it's not like I'm waiting for a kidney?
I did same day grading. Didnt even think to check the angle or size as it was from a pack. Guess Ill try again later or maybe try SGC.
1 N8: MISCUT 1959 Topps 1 Johnny Unitas
Hopefully the Maravich will do better.
Well Im bummed.

Sorry to read this Derek.
Good luck on Pistol.
I pulled this guy from a cello a few years back, the cello was part of a large lot I bought when heritage was selling these from the antique road show find.
I sent it in on an express service and it came back "TRIMMED"
I immediately called and they took it in for a review with the head grader and they then decided it was good and graded it an 8. I thought the card was easily an 8.5 but after it coming back trimmed I did not have the courage to crack it out and send it back
here is a link to that thread if anyone wants to go down a pack break memory lane with me

If you have no plans to sell you should wait awhile. I have had better luck after waiting months if not years to resub.
Successful card BST transactions with cbcnow, brogurt, gstarling, Bravesfan 007, and rajah 424.
