Question for eBay sellers and other merchants who accept PayPal

Perhaps in the last two weeks, I've noticed some of the payment notification emails I receive from PayPal are formatted differently. First of all, the subject heading is now You Got Money. The first time I saw it I assumed it was a spoof. I logged into my account directly (not via hyperlinks) and indeed saw it was a legitimate payment.



Further issues are that the email is formatted horribly, at least when viewed with my email client and also using web mail. And finally, and this is a pain, if I hit reply to the payment (so that I can thank the customer for the payment and inform them when their coins will ship), it no longer replies to the email address of the person who sent the payment. It now goes to service@paypal.com.



My question to those of you who accept PayPal payments is have any of you noticed this? What's odd is that it's only some email notifications, not all. I've attached a screenshot of what the payment notification email looks like. I've cut out a few sections of personal information.

Looks like a Paypal software mistake which left out some HTML code in the email.

I haven't recieved the same email you posted, but they do vary. I believe that it has something to do with how they actually pay, i.e. PayPal balance, cc linked to PayPal, PP credit etc.

The format of the message may vary according to the device in use by the payee. IOW, one format if they are using a mobile device, another format if they are using a desktop, etc.
