Finally After 9 Years - New Addition !!

After 9 years of searching both show floors and auctions, I managed to acquire a much needed note for my collection. This beauty has eluded me for years and trust me when I say "I have certainly tried".

I have passed on a couple of notes in auctions as I did not like them as "Eye Appeal" is everything to me !!

Then this baby showed up at Central States for me to view from Stack's Bowers and then I knew I had to have it. I waited patiently from the time I saw it at CS until a couple of weeks ago when it came up for sale.

I did everything I could to make sure I would be able to bid on this note. I tracked it and followed it during the auction and also setup a phone bidder. I used the phone bid to buy the note and I can only recall a couple of other times when I told the individual to "Just Keep Bidding" prior to the lot coming up for sale as this was again a "Must Have" for me.

Enjoy the beauty !!!

Nice note, Rock. I'm going to say that those very few '28B* Gems must be tightly held, but I'll bet your version of "tightly held" will outlast them all! Congrats.

Wow very nice John. I would have expected nothing less from you. Great addition. You make this hobby fun and you remind us that those illusive notes are still out there waiting for a new home.

    Great note!

A note like that would free up THREE notes in my collection. I have a well centered note with a counting mark, one without a counting mark but not as well centered, and a PMG-64 EPQ. Sell me yours so I can then sell my three.

John, well done. I think everyone gets excited once they see you have made a post. "What kind of eye candy do we get today". Nine Years it took you? Well, I think I have patience but some of these Feds and Silver Certificates can take a lot of time to find and then you may not find them at all. But, we keep looking and hoping.
