Perhaps the most insane price for a wrestling card I have seen to date

I saw that there was a Brad Rheingans PSA 9 listed by Probstein a week ago and saw that it would upgrade my set. I was thinking that perhaps that I may want to add it since I just have a PSA 8 in my collection and upgrading would be a good idea as my 1982 B set is solid but by no means the best that is out there. I was running through a potential ending price and thinking the ceiling would be around $200 at best, but it could be ran up higher because the math proved that a registry collector needed it for his set and he is aggressive in adding cards he needs. An old time wrestling collector who had taken a hiatus for quite some time returned recently and let's just say that two nuclear bids went off and the card went for $1026!!!!! Needless to say, I am stunned at the final price and in no way is this the "new market" for this card, but it happened. A thousand dollars for Brad Rheingans! WOW! If I get the opportunity to meet him again I will have to mention this to him. I am sure he would be floored as he by no means a star.
