Litchfiled County Specimen $3 Obsolete

Anyone familiar with this specimen note? Litchfield County Connecticut but no date.

    Not familiar with it but have lived in that town. Don Kelly has a book on notes like that on his site.

    I suspect that the specimen note is a modern reprint by American Bank Note. The font used for "SPECIMEN" wasn't around in the 1850s. Is there any printing on the back?
    Intrigued by all things intaglio.

    Yes, I sold two of them on Ebay about 1-2 years ago. Worth maybe $10-$20.

    Saw another damaged one in a recent auction with a stupid estimate.

    They are scarce but around from time to time.

    Probably 1960s-80s vintage.
    Collector and dealer in obsolete currency. Always buying all obsolete bank notes and scrip.

    Thanks all. The images are of front and back... back does not have "specimen" on it.

    And one side is printed in black and the other in green, although the color difference doesn't show well in the photo.
