It seems like talks with the Marlins fell through. I would venture to guess Alex Rodriguez will make significantly more money being a Yankees team "advisor" than a below mediocre Marlins third baseman.
Still, it's a shame that we won't see an Ichiro/A-Rod/Barry Bonds team this year. Looking past PEDs and frustrating player histories, this team would have been a nostalgic trip that would've had the 2002 version of me drooling.
