WARNING, BECAREFUL SHIPPING WITH USPS

Just made two purchase past 2 weeks, maybe it's my bad luck or something

1) package arrive at my local post office. should have signature confirmation required. However USPS dropped the package off to one my neighbor, luckily i have good neighbor that drop it back to me

2) Seller shipped the package with USPS, on saturday it arrive at the post office in Philadelphia 19116.. No update ever since. This suppose to be a 2 day priority mail with insurance/signature confirmation.

From looking at google review, lot of package missing, this post office has some inside theft

Indeed. They are sometimes odd with their processes, though. A package from the opposite end of the country arrives today, 2 days between shipping and delivery of a 1st Class item. Meanwhile, a 1st Class package gets sent from a location about 15 miles from where I live. It goes through 2 hubs, still in transit and if delivered tomorrow will take a day longer than cross country. Go figure.

When you deliver as many packages/letters as the USPS you are bound to have the occasional hiccup. It sucks when our number is called. But just think about if they have a 99.99% success rate that means 1 out of every 1000 packages will be misdelivered. I have had well over 1000 probably close to 2000 transactions on eBay and almost every one was mailed via USPS. Luckily, I have never had a package go missing. The worst I have had are very late deliveries and packages taking mysteriously, unnecessarily circuitous routes. Given the cost, I think the USPS does a pretty good job. I hope everything turns out ok for you.

My worst/best experiences with using USPS. Once took a package almost 13 days to go from SW Ohio to the far corners of the earth in NE Ohio. This was fun for me as a seller since the eBay buyer was the type that had sent payment late night on like a Saturday and by Sunday afternoon was already messaging me if the packaged had shipped yet.

As a buyer off eBay I had 3 1/10 Oz gold coins coming out of Texas up and disappear after a couple days in the process of tracking. After 20 days of still not being delivered the seller issued me a full refund and had to eventually do an insurance claim for a lost package. Roughly 2 years later with me having moved to a different state with only a couple weeks left on mail forwarding from the address the coins should have been delivered to they magically were delivered to me. Package was in perfect condition so your guess is as good as mine as to what it was doing for 2 years in the custody of the USPS. image

My failure rate is pretty much at 100% if my neighbor didn't hand me back the package.
twice within 10 days timeframe. Must be me

What did you do recently to piss off your mailman? You didn't go and sleep with the mailman's wife now did you? image

It's not lost if there was activity on Saturday. You'll learn.

If it's Tuesday, this must be Belgium.

This happens about once a year. I blame it on the seller for poorly packaging the item, not the USPS. This is (was) a $400 book.

Still looks like the book can be read so no harm no foul. image

Hope the seller shipped it with insurance.
