    One learns something every day.

I didn't know Nepal made proof sets.

The date on yours looks like Nepal year 2031 which is AD 1974.

There are some Nepal proof sets on Ebay from 1973 and 1974.

    Thanks!

Needless to say, Nepalese numerals are not my strong suit.

I believe these are struck at the Royal Mint.

The cardboard on these holders tones the coins, although the lower denomoniations usually end up with corroded edges/rims.

Did I sell you this a few years ago? It looks a LOT like a set that I used to have, and sold to somebody. I don't have access to my records at the moment but I'll look into it tomorrow and let you know what the sale price was. Even if this isn't the same set, it'll give you an idea of the value.

1974 sounds correct. Corrosion on the smaller coins is also correct. I had two of these for that reason, trying to find smaller coins that weren't corroded.

Nessie, you didn't sell it to me- this is part of a consignment lot.

It is entirely possible you sold it to my consignor, however.
