What does BBCE have left in UNopened?

There were so many nice boxes in the beginning of the show. Does anyone know or could post a picture of what is left? Did the 86 fleer bsk. box or 71 baseball box sell? What is left?
I could not make the show but would love to see what a weeks worth of sales at BBCE did to their tables.

I was only at the National from 9:00am Wednesday to 4:00 Thursday but Steve sold many boxes the first day. Items which I saw sold were.
Baseball 1974 Topps wax, 1974 OPC wax and 1974 factory set. 1975 Topps wax and one 1975 rack box. 1976 Topps .15 box and OPC box.
    Basketball 3 boxes of 87-88
Football 1970 wax box, 1972 series two box

Items still there after I left was
Baseball -1959 TW box, 1970 Topps box (I think a consignment) 1971 Topps 4th series, a couple of 1972 Topps boxes from different series, 1973 Topps boxes from a couple of series, 2 boxes of rack from 1975, 1 box of .10 1976 Topps, 1 case of 1977 Topps wax
football -nothing older than 1976 in box form. 2 1977 Topps cello, 1978-1985 Topps boxes
basketball- 2 1970-71 boxes, 1 box of 1973-4 wax box and the box of 1986-7 Fleer.

I really think the unopened has begun to dry up considerably. Although BBCE had some awesome boxes at the show, the quantity was really down compared to the last couple of years. It will be interesting to see what next year will have to make a true evaluation.

  • I still think the 1986 Fleer will sell.

The biggest lesson I've learned in this hobby, and in life, is that if you have a strong conviction, you owe it to yourself to see it through. Don't sell yourself, or your investments, short. Unless the facts change. Then sell it all.

Shane, how was the condition on the 74 factory set?

I noticed the '74T Factory set in their photos on Wednesday, I think, wrapped in BBCE plastic for 1K. I drooled. Wished I was there to grab it. Sigh.

I don't know what kind of product they had on the shelves before today, but as of today, they were getting pretty bare. Still lots of great high end stuff available. The 75 topps box was gone which I wanted to see in person, but they did have one rack box left.
Always looking for vintage wax boxes!

I was going to buy it but Steve told me that it had been shuffled through and the centering was not great. I really appreciate Steve being so transparent on stuff like this.

Does anyone know what the asking price was on the 1970 Topps Basketball Box? I didn't notice it today, my first day. Maybe it sold?

Shane, thanks for the update. That's funny since I commented on the facebook pic and Reed responded that it was "as clean as it can be." Those sets are so hard to buy because they weren't sealed and most likely cherry picked like that one was.

    LOL You got me.

Since it's pretty late and I didn't want to text Steve about this, I just guessed. Of course, my guess was based on knowing who bought it and how particular they are about the items they buy.
