GAI graded question

I am interested in learning from anyone who has broken out GAI graded cards and have submitted raw to PSA. What were your results? Were you satisfied with PSA grade? Did any cards actually cross at the same grade? etc.

I made the mistake of buying into several GAI cards before I learned the details about certain grading practices they may have employed (trimmed cards, cards not gradable anywhere else, etc.). I am willing to take the risk but am interested in what others have experienced.

Expect an average of 2 grades lower

From what I understand, older GAI flips actually cross pretty well.

How old is older? The GAI graded cards in question are at least 5 years old. I got caught up in their "1st Graded" caption on the holder label. Have 15-20 1956 cards to deal with.

    I appreciate the replies.

personally i would avoid anything not psa/sgc/bvg. yes, price is attractive, but when you try to crossover. it might come back as altered/trimmed/etc..... especially high value cards

You should be ok on the solid color silver/grey flips. The 2 color (white and black?) flips I would avoid.

I would stay away from GAI.

George Brett, Roger Clemens and Tommy Brady.
