54 Banks and 55 Koufax

So I have no experience buying vintage cards so I figured that I would come here.

What would you value these cards at and what would you pay for them?

Thanks guys!

    Craigslist? Run.

I'd probably just patiently search eBay until you find graded copies around the prices you're willing to pay.

Imo, it doesn't make sense to pay for a lower quality, raw card when you could spend that money (maybe more, maybe less) on a lower graded copy.
  • Ok thanks guys. The guy lives like 2 min from me and said he'd do $350 for both and wanted to know if I wanted to come see them.

I figured I'd check here before I said no. Appreciate the advice.

you could try to make a deal where he pays for them to be authenticated and if they come back authentic, then you pay him the grading fees back plus the price for the cards.
  • The card looks legit to my (untrained) eye, but for that kind of $$ you're best buying graded. It's also weird that he knows of PSA (even mentions PSA in his ad) but chooses to sell raw, which means he's knowingly leaving big money on the table Why would he do that? Hmmmmm....

People dropping PSA name all the over the place. Best way to attract attention even if you're not selling a product with their label on it. Same for PWCC and BBCE.
