This is the rarest New Orleans mint gold dollar.
The coin has a very strong strike, which is the reason I bought it. This issue tends to have some weakness in the obverse hair curls, but this coin is very well defined. Nice luster and color. Makes a big jump in price in mint state, and this is very close.
