OT: Meeting a Player 12 Years Apart

Back in early 2004, my sons and I met Orioles pitcher John Parrish at an event in his hometown of Lancaster, PA. We always liked him as a player and in fact I had a purchased a Game Used Jersey of his and both of my sons would wear would it to games (and still do)...

While John played in over 180 MLB games primarily as a relief pitcher, he did start a game for his MLB debut vs. Roger Clemens and the Yankees in 2000 and struck out Chuck Knoblauch, Derek Jeter & Bernie Williams to start the game (how many guys can make that claim?)...He ended up striking out 9 in that game to tie an Orioles record for most strikeouts in a debut.

Long story short, I invited John to be one of the celebrities in a charitable Golf tournament I help organize, he graciously accepted and afterwards took a picture with my one son (the one on the right of the 2004 picture)...
