Mega Card Holder-- 8,000 to 10,000 Card Box!

One of my good friends is a real old school collector. He is also "a box maker" (more to it than that but let us keep it simple). As an old school collector, he is not really keen on grading.

In any event, he has designed and produced (just for his personal use-- no sales pitch here)an 8k to 10k storage box. The picture should give an idea on how these work. They are very sturdy and he has a bunch of them full. No denying and they stack nicely. Lots of vintage wholesome goodness in them as well. I told him this is cool enough I just have to share it with fellow collectors. (And no I have not tried to lift a full one!)

I like it! I have the cardboard boxes that hold three rows of graded cards (about 195 per box) but would love one of these, LOL!

Collecting 1970s Topps baseball wax, rack and cello packs, as well as PCGS graded Half Cents, Large Cents, Two Cent pieces and Three Cent Silver pieces.

Haha. Good guess but no. As I understand he basically designs various types of packing for product including, for example, boxes for produce.

I may have to ask him to make me one but, goodness, I may gouge my eyes out now if I hoard that many raw cards!

That is great. So Much more user friendly than monster boxes. Reminds me of old library card catalogs.

I honestly think there would be a market for that box if it's sturdy in the center. I think dealers would love to have that at a show for their 10 cent bins. And collectors would like that at home.

I've told my friend that many times. He really is content just making what he needs for himself. He really is an old school collector who just enjoys the hobby (and I tell him who else would hoard 27 sets of 1987 Topps).

It looks as if I am going to be opening a card/coin store here in middle Tennessee would love to own a few of those not for resale(unless he wants to make money) but for storage at the store. Do you think he would be willing to make me a few for a charge so it is worth it to him.
