Somethings A Little Off Here....FR191A

So few of these ever show up,I'm not sure...so I T&Ped it and it shows the same serial number selling at Stacks in 2012 in a PCGS40 app holder.Be sure to check out the bid retractions.Your thoughts?
Collector of numeral seals. That's the 1928 and 1928A series of FRNs with a number rather than a letter in the district seal. Owner/operator of Bottom Line Currency

Significant piece of paper; mushy/goofy looking scan; seller with zero feedback.

    Strike 3, you're OUT!

    That's the giveaway for me!

  • the overprint looks like its printed with an ink jet vs the normal process
  • Fake auction... plus the fake story about this coming from his grandfather passed to his father and now him when it was sold by Stacks in 2012. No way. Plus, in general people who go out of their way to try and pull at your heart strings... i.e. religious, army vet, father is army vet, live in country's birthplace... Not buying the sob story...

Yep, phony, look at the engraving density in Lincoln and in the top corner engravings, definite saturation from a modern print. I'd guess inkjet printer.

Zero feedback, sad story about inheriting from dear old Dad, I call BS and my BS detector is legendary...

His Grandfather would not have been born back then. For his father to have served in WW11, his father at the earliest was born turn of the century . Bogus story and bogus copy.
