Just an FYI that I have for sale on eBay a 1980 Topps Baseball Wax Box from the most recent case break we did on the board, and box is BBCE certified and FASC. Box was also one of the ones from the center of the case most likely as it looks like it has never been touched - no dings on edges or corners like many you see on eBay. Have mine listed for $1195 plus s/h, and there are a couple of other ones listed that are BBCE/FASC and they are asking a lot more - $1850 and $1950 respectively. If anyone is crazy enough to give me $1800+ for mine I will ship it for free and throw in a few cards with it
Should be a good deal considering the pristine condition of the box and the fact the case comes with the box. Any questions please let me know - probably list a few more things before the National to sell.

Appreciate the offer, but there are several offers higher than yours so your offer would not have made sense to do anyways. I believe when I listed this box the last time you and discussed it and the price. As you are aware there are a couple of the same exact 1980 Topps wax boxes listed for $1850 and $1950 on eBay right now that are in worse shape than mine and don't even include the case. After seeing those prices and the Henderson rookies doubling in price this month I have actually increased the price of mine based on offers and feedback from a few dealers who want me to bring it to AC.
There are several other boxes on eBay that are less expensive than mine if cost is an issue, but they look a little rough and are not BBCE or FASC plus the case. I know you mentioned doing the deal off eBay to save $$ and fees, but once I list an item on eBay I don't pull it to sell it off of eBay per their rules - I don't like it when it is done to me so I try to treat others the same way. Thank you again for the note, and hope you can grab one of the other boxes.

Sorry for the delay - had an emergency to attend to and just got back in from being out and just now responding to offers - had a bunch of offers for several items to respond to just now on eBay after work and just getting to them from the past two days.

Sorry about your emergency. I'm glad is was not too serious...preventing you from responding immediately my other eBay offer (from my wife's account around noon today). Ignoring PMs (still nothing) and the eBay offer for around 48 hours makes your opinion known crystal clear.
'but once I list an item on eBay I don't pull it to sell it off of eBay per their rules'
As a side note, your listing is not an auction w/ bids but BIN / OBO. People list inventory on multiple websites (think 4SC, COMC, BSTs, cards at shows or deals on the bus) and remove from eBay once sold. If you think this is against the rules, you confirmed my decision to avoid all dealings is the right call.
Best of luck!
David - sorry you have been so rustled about this matter, but I don't think that your conduct and comments are going to serve you well with future buyers and sellers; however, feel free to continue posting remarks if you feel it is cathartic.
The facts are very simple - my wife and I did have a family emergency to deal with on Monday and that resulted in my being out on Monday. I do have other obligations to deal with, and I do believe I can choose to deal with other matters, bids, collectors... in a manner or order of my choosing. As everyone can see by my response back to you I was cordial and civil in my responses.
You had a chance to purchase this box not once but twice when it was listed the first time, and both times you chose to submit lower offers than others had submitted. The first time i listed this item your offer was barely above the case break price of $975 a box, and you informed me "that I should accept your price of just over $1000 and that it was a fair price." I believe the seller can decide for themselves what they think is fair and what they want to accept, and usually when buyers are rude and pester the seller people won't deal with them. Maybe your tactic was that constant attempts would yield the price you wanted, and I am sorry if that did not work the first time - it surely did not work this time.
When I listed the box this week I received the same low offer from you which was fine and your choice, but why would you think the result would change? After not hearing from me Monday you chose to do the following:
1. Send repeated emails
2. Bid on the item and retract immediately not once but twice within a 6 hour period on Tuesday.
3. Let the entire board know you needed to try something sneaky by sending offers with your wife's account as well - she got a quicker response than you did because she does not have a history of insulting sellers on eBay and low balling and badgering them
4. Asked me to sell off eBay and save on fees - I can cut and paste your email if anyone thinks I am making this up, and believe you did the same thing on the first listing.
5. Item was not listed on multiple platforms nor offered to be sold on or through any other site but eBay. Cannot believe you tried to sneak one by eBay - shame, shame.
6 item has been sold and for a strong price - if you used a third alias to buy it let me know and I can drop it off the roof a few times with some 45 lb weights in the box to give it a nice worn look from the 80's
For future reference it helps in dealing with people if you are polite and civil, and based on your actions please refrain from dealing with any other future listings I have for sale. There are enough great people on this board and in this hobby to deal with who make it fun and not suck the life out of it. Best of luck in selling your box for $1950 - the listing was very helpful in getting a great price for mine.

David, you've done yourself no favors by conducting yourself in this manner and then being snarky about it. I would be extremely turned off if anyone had badgered me in this manner.
