Storing graded cards

I apologize if this has been covered before, but I couldn't find any previous threads. When storing graded cards, Is it okay if they are stored on the side vs. upright? Common sense tells me it doesn't matter, but I know many of you are far more experienced and knowledgeable than I am when it comes to graded cards.

IMHO, doesn't matter. FWIW, I've got about half stored each way.

I store a lot of mine in plastic tote containers that I got from target. the ones with the snap on lids. I lay mine flat in the containers.
