BBCE pack/box wrapping.

Has anyone here had their newer packs/boxes wrapped? High end or otherwise. Advantages? Worth the cost? Recommendations? Does BBCE provide that service for 5-10 year old material? Thanks in advance for your comments.

Most newer boxes are factory shrink wrapped. With the newer boxes that aren't factory wrapped There is a good chance that they have been searched and the "hits" pulled. I don't know what BBCE would do in a situation like that.

as a follow up question. Does anyone have any concern with how BBCE wraps some wax boxes. It sometimes looks like they wrap them so tight that they distort or dent the boxes? Maybe the boxes were already a bit distorted, but I have some pristine untouched wax boxes bought back in the 80s that I would like to have wrapped by BBCE but am actually concerned they will look less pristine after being wrapped. Is this a concern of anyone else or am I just being overly picky.
  • Know what you mean. See things on ebay where it looks like the box was pressure wrapped or other. Would pretty much support those boxes were like that prior to BBCE wrap. Would trust them to take quite the good care.

Thanks for your response. I should have been more specific in my question. I realize newer product is shrink wrapped. What I was inquiring about was if BBCE wrapping OVER the factory wrap adds to an extra layer of credibility to the box. And has that guarantee for it being legitimately sealed. Years ago, 1994, I purchased from a dealer 5 Pinnacle boxes looking for the Museum cards. All boxes were shrinked wrapped. Opened the first box no inserts and all the packs were resealed. I did not open the other 4 I returned them to the dealer and he opened up one box, same result. He checked all the others he had purchased from some other dealer and they all had the same shrink wrap. All was clear shrink wrap, none had the Pinnacle logo on the shrink wrap. So this dealer ripped open all of them and did a personal shrink wrap job then sold them to the dealer I bought them from. My dealer did refund my money as well as gave me an autograph picture as a goodwill gesture. I've heard some people even stamp these manufacturers logo on the shrink wrap. I don't know about that for sure. Hope this clears up my point.

Personally, I don't think BBCE shrink wrapping over the factory shrink wrap will add any value or credibility to a newer box. Steve would not be able to check the packs. That is what his authentication service is all about.

Steve does not over wrap factory wrapped boxes

I have asked before on some 93 SP boxes

Now if you want his opinion whether a wrapped box is factory wrapped or aftermarket wrapped,

that would be a question that I assume you could ask him. Theres a ton of product that I am unsure of

whether or not it came factory sealed or even with logo wraps or clear.

I am not sure if he offers a service for inspecting questionably wrapped boxes
