ISA Grading Company. What the heck is that?

International Sports Authentication? Huh? The only thing I recognize is their senior grader/owner/CEO. They have a registry!

Dealer testimonials on their site are, um, interesting.

The only grading company I trust is SCE.
  • It's a 1952 Topps #314 ISA 5 at $1K that someone hopes to flip in a PSA for 2 to 3 times that.

    Good luck!
  • I wish a legit company would emerge, but it's going to be tough, because competition is good for the consumer. Looking on eBay, it looks like ISA grades are (obviously) inflated vs the big 3. Cards look to be 1-2 grades higher than if they were graded by PSA. Can't tell if the cards are trimmed though, which would be my absolute biggest fear.

I only trust KSA for my cards that are a "10" image. Of course all of their cards grade a 10. Dinged corner - no problem. 80/20 centering - within the tolerance. Half the card missing - just makes it even rarer to find!

I think Coaches Corner might have the finest grading service available. They definitely provide the best protection for your cards and the flip design is second to none!

What constitutes a legit company? What about SGC and Beckett? So we need a 4th, cough, competitor, to shake up things and improve things for everyone involved in grading. I'm sure sellers will be lined up sacrificing their valuable cards to buyers whose only interest in the cards are scoring big crossing them over to PSA, SGC, or Beckett.
