I'm not even a basketball fan, but...

First, I'm not a Laker fan or a Kings fan or even a basketball fan period. Last night was literally the first game I watched all season and how can anybody say that the officiating in Basketball is not Biased in favor of the superstars??? When there are 17 fouls called against the people guarding Shaq and only 1 offensive foul on Shaq, GIVE ME A BREAK!!
And there should have been several more fouls called against Kobe Bryant and Chris Webber as well, but i've never seen anything as blatant as the no calls against Shaquille O'Neal!!
I'll stick with the NFL and MLB where the officiating does not as obviously effect the outcome of the game!!

    well you obviously not have seen the whole series cause all series long shaq has been in foul trouble, with these little chicken sh!t fouls, there was really only one offensive foul by shaq and it was called, maybe 1 or 2 got by but not much.

    Thats what happens when NBA execs say they need better games(higher scoring) and better ratings.

    Well seeing that you are admiting that this is your first game of the year then how can you judge the officiating? You have nothing to judge it against. Shaq is fouled more then anyone in a NBA game and they don't call alot of those. So you shouldn't complain when thhey do call some.

    yeah, after August 8th, you might not be able to stick with baseball much...supposed to be going on strike which will RUIN the game of baseball! If they DO happen to go on strike...I won't be attending anymore Braves games, and I'll quit watching it...PERIOD!

    LOL...Obviously I haven't seen the entire series since I said that last night was the first game I watched all season. (and that was just because my brother-in-law had control of the remote) But it seems to me that because Mr. O'Neal was the person initiating the contact 90% of the time, then 90% of the calls should have been offensive fouls.
    And do Chris Webber and Kobe Bryant whine to the refs everytime they miss a shot or get called for a foul? My 7 year old doesn't even whine that much!! LOL

    Let me clarify...I'm not an NBA basketball fan. I love watching HS basketball and my kids play basketball. EVERY H.S. game I've been to, it is the player that initiates the contact that gets called for the foul. Are the rules that different in the NBA? I don't think so.

    In pro basketball if you impede the progress of the offensive player and you are moving then it is your fault. That is the way it has been for awhile. Also many of the calls that Shaq gets is in that little half circle aroudn the goal. They don't call charging in the half circle.
