NATIONAL PRE-"review" - for planning purposes only

A month out, and not a ton of discussion yet.

I have not yet decided whether I'm going this year or not. For those that recall, I gave daily reviews of my activity last year and it was honestly great fun. More than anything, I enjoyed helping a couple different board members who couldn't attend grab some really nice stuff, and it was also nice to put some faces to some names on here at one of the meet ups.

Should I finally decide to go, I expect to provide daily updates and recaps again. I'm hoping if I can't go, someone else will pick that torch up. I'm a much bigger fan of Chicago than I am of AC.

Anyway, thought is would be fun to revive a few of the pictures from last year, especially for all you BBCE fan club members so you can see what you SHOULD HAVE bought last year when you had the chance.

Here you go!

ACTUALLY ONE MORE THING - post in the thread if you're going or not and what you're looking for. Might make it easier for me, should I decide to go, to come back to this and buzz folks if I see something they need. No idea if a deal happened or not, but I connected folks on some Donruss Acqeous tests, some different unopened a few t206s last year.

Just about the only place you get to see these guys in person

It's not that bad a price if you really wanted to try grinding out a profit

AH YES! Look at this bunch of rag tags - you wouldn't believe what some of them are hiding at home! Poor CPAMIKE, these meets up were tearing holes in his heart as we were tearing wrappers apart

What would give for a chance to wind these prices back a year?!?!?!

FYI - I'm the guy that bought out the 1985s, so I wasn't a complete doofus. I didn't see 1984 until too late, but notice what is missing? That should have been a clue that 1986 was about to blow up.

1978 football for $900! Shoulda bought that one, thankfully I found one somewhere else. Yes, I realize I'm ignoring the cello case - don't remember what it went for but it was the talk of the booth for a couple days.

I suspect $15 large would get you into this pack again.

    Some fun for the hosers.

    Probably my favorite "case"

These two still blow my mind - the whole thing SIGNED and CASED, FOR REAL? And the other a 9.1 GPA? Seriously?

Inaugural HOF class - just WOW!

Here's to everyone who's headed out this year - safe travels and happy hunting! You may want to make sure you bring your 401k with you this year, just in case!

Last year, I saw a guy walk over to Steve and buy 2 packs of 86F for $1400 and got squat.

I wanted to take some pics but felt it would be an invasion - especially since he got nada.

If he had pulled a Jordan? I was ready to snap it.

    Also spotted a few guys:

cpamike in front and behind with sunglasses on head - Curt aka bbcemporium.

I would rather have that signed 51 Bowman set than the high grade set any day of the week. You could assemble another high grade set over five years. Another complete signed set? It basically has to be one of a kind.
