Ebay Question: How many days before?

Sold a fairly small card Wednesday night. Currently, at 3 days and no payment. I sent a friendly message yesterday explaining that the item was ready to ship upon notification of payment. Still no response.

How long before you give up and re-list?

I send a reminder after 7 days and file an NPB after 14 days. The holiday weekend may prevent any response till at least Tuesday. 3 days is not that long.

You can file a NPB after the third day. With it being a holiday weekend, I'd give it until Tuesday and file one then.

It really should not take days and days to pay for items. I always pay the day I win an auction or hit by it now. I usually pay within minutes. I don't understand why people take so long to pay.

I'd probably give it more time, especially around holidays.

I had a guy buy a fairly low dollar item (under $20) and after about 4 days I sent a reminder, after about 8-9 days I sent another message saying if it's not paid for by whatever day I'm going to file a npb claim and finally he paid around 2 week mark. Sometimes it just takes people a while to pay. I think a lot of buyers actually forget.

You can file a NPB, but that goes an extra 4 days before the case closes if they still don't pay. Basically they have 7 days to pay under Ebay.
