Hi baseball fans,
I am working on an article for SCD about Connie Mack, the manager of the Philadelphia Athletics from 1901-1950.
If you are a Mack fan and/or A's teams from his era and would like to be interviewed about Mack and/or the team and some of their cards and collectibles, please PM me over the next couple of days.
My deadline is looming, so please pardon the short notice in advance.
Thanks,
Doug

Not a "Mack" collector but have a letter written by Clark Griffith to President of the league Harridge and it references Connie Mack night.
I would sure like to know who Mr. Pepper is? I know there's a Pepper Martin but has no relationship to this event.
I did find a program cover for sale but it didn't have any pages shown - would sure like to know who attended.
Connie Mack Night - commemorating his 50th Year as manager of the A's!
(also, he did play baseball for 11 years in the late 1800s)
The letter:
This letter was really dealing with some kind of hostile takeover of the Nationals - but the opening paragraph is humorous - it seems Mr Pepper was blowing his own horn but was being paid serious bucks to do so!
