Chet Krause RIP

Obit

I first met Chet at the PCDA show in St. Louis in 2003. Every time we met after that he would invite me to office hours with Cliff Mishler at Chet's place in Iola. Although I live only two hours away, I never took him up on it.

He will be sorely missed.

Wow, that is very sad to hear of his passing. Quit the resume. I never knew he was into so many other activities other than numismatics.
Come and see a forgotten piece of history.....

Chet was an amazing individual. Although well heeled and quite the collector, he was approachable. I owe him a great deal in helping me get the WI census on to the written page. He was truly a one-of-a-kind gentleman and will be missed.

Chet was a great man that is for sure. I meet him 25 years ago at the ANA in San Diego and would see him time to time again at Memphis, and so on. Always willing to talk paper money! He was a fine gentleman and will be missed by not just is family and friends, but by the numismatic community as a whole. Now, he's in the big bourse in the sky along with some other find paper collectors that I knew quite well.
In 30+ years I have done nothing positive for the hobby because I'm lazy!
