Parthian Drachm

While I am not into Parthian coinage, this one has a highly appealing portrait.
PARTHIAN KINGDOM. Vologases V (AD 191-208). AR drachm (19mm, 3.89gr, 1h). Ecbatana mint. Obv: Diademed bust of Vologases facing, hair gathered into bunches at side of head, with pointed beard. Rev: Stylized archer (Arsaces I) seated right, examining arrow. Sellwood 86.3. Shore 448. Sunrise 455 variant. Struck from fresh dies. NGC Ch. MS* 5/5, 5/5.

Wow, a front facing one. Actually never seen a front facing Parthian before. Great coin.
My thoughts exactly.
Interesting how devolved the reverse imagery is on that coin. It's almost like one of those Celtic staters where the horse eventually disintegrated into an abstract mass of dots and swirls.
