If you have cards ya like? And didn't break the bank? Post away!

Hi everyone

I'm organizing and putting stuff away and finding stuff I haven't seen in years.

It also got me to thinking of cards that I really like that I bought - raw - close to 30 yrs ago when this stuff seemed to feel like it was more affordable.

All of these cards, I submitted myself, except for the 58T Aaron (old flip).

Please share your cards that used to be in the cheap seats and may even be "court side" now!

    Hello Mike,

Figured this was a good thread to share my very first registry set completed. 1986 Donruss Highlights baseball. Not much of a backstory on why I chose this set to work on except to say that I had some individual 56-card box sets laying around. I couldn't remember for the life of me where I got them. I opened what sets I had, decided that I really like these, and decided to build on it. I self submitted and made homemade PSA 10's on every card in this set except for card #1 Will Clark. The Clark I subbed roughly 9 different times and received all PSA 9s on them. I just didn't think it made sense from a financial standpoint to continue to buy unopened material (even if not all that expensive), to chase just 1 card. I was scouring eBay the other day, and sure enough I found a blazer and definitely a Clark that fits my definition of what a 10 should be. It took roughly 4 submissions to complete this...without further ado, here she is:

    Enjoy....

The feeling of accomplishment is good...now on to the other 10 million sets I'd like to work on lol......

Purchased a 1984 Topps Tiffany Don Mattingly raw a few years back for $35, subbed it and came back as a PSA 10. That is upgrading from nosebleed to 1st row on the 50 yard line!
