Interesting is right. I am doing a similar project. I am sure I have old Bebee's invoices as well. When I get there, I may post some too.

    Thanks for sharing.

Interesting Hawaii $1 note! I have the consecutive serial # C00000280C CU and believe I still have the invoice for it for $60 bought in 1990 from Mid American.

mbwizkid: Look at those prices !!! That is wild !

I'm sure many of us would be in a bidding war for a 1933 $10 for $400, but $40 WOW.

Ted Kemm was an interesting guy. Bought a lot of notes from him. He used to set up at the New York Metropolitan shows until in the 1980's as I remember.

Interesting to compare $1 value from then to now and see what price variations there are.

    U.S. Inflation Rate, 1953-2018 ($100)
According to the Bureau of Labor Statistics consumer price index, the dollar experienced an average inflation rate of 3.49% per year. Prices in 2018 are 832.5% higher than prices in 1953.

In other words, $100 in the year 1953 is equivalent in purchasing power to $932.55 in 2018, a difference of $832.55 over 65 years.

The current inflation rate in 2018 is 1.72%1. If this number holds, $100 today will be equivalent to $101.72 next year.

    Inflation from 1953 to 2018
    Cumulative price change 832.55%
    Average inflation rate 3.49%
    Price difference ($100 base) $832.55
    CPI in 1953 26.7
    CPI in 2018 248.991
