Wow, these are nice finds. Was the hoard in a jar or something? Couple of keys here, especially that 22 plain strong reverse. VF35-xf40!

Awesome find- most of these 'unsearched hoards' have been picked over and only CPG varieties can be found, if that. Looks like you found a true unsearched hoard!

The hoard, was what my step father called a collection that was started by his father sometime in the 1950's possibly earlier. The "collection" consists mostly of American coins from the 19th and 20th centuries, so far I have sorted and cataloged 15k coins and counting. Only about 5 percent of the coins were sorted at all the rest were in bags, boxes and jars that I found all over the house after my step father passed. So it was much more of a hoard of coins then a collection. Since I inherited all the coins I have been trying to sort through and catalog all of them and turn it into some sort of an actual collection. I would like to hear some advice on what to do with 6500 wheat pennies though apart from just store them. Thanks for looking. I am having a blast going through all of this stuff.

If you've already searched them, I'd just sell the rest of the wheat cents in bulk and buy a single nice collector coin with the proceeds.

Don't forget to add the line, my Father passed away and these were laying all over the house.
