These aren't your run of the mill souvenir spoons from the latter half of the 20th century.
These are die-struck, super detailed pieces of art from the 1930s and 1940s (possibly earlier) and from some of the most important American commemorative locations. They'd make great companions to those pieces. Who could afford to travel and buy sterling silver pieces to show during the depression and WWII? This guy, apparently.
Individually priced OBO. Will take $190 for all 5 pieces, shipped. REDUCED $175 SHIPPED FOR ALL 5 PIECES!
Panama Canal
Incredibly detailed front AND back to this piece--arguably the best of the bunch. Bold graphics obverse include a steam ship, palm trees, the Culebra Cut, and Gatun Locks. The reverse is just as beautiful with a detailed map of the entire Canal zone from Pacific to Atlantic. Bowl engraved "Paul Wm 1938" Approx 28.5 grams, 6" long. Marked Wallace sterling w/ stag head. Asking $55.

We are like children who look at print and see a serpent in the last letter but one, and a sword in the last.
