Where are the Bust Dime collectors ??

Hi folks !! I'm a new here ....... I've been into bust dimes lately. I hear it's "clubbish" . I've searched all the googles I care to looking for decent coins. Any advice or forums you can direct me to ?

There are bust dime collectors among us here for sure. If you start a discussion topic, people will respond. However, the most responses will typically be received in threads about grading and slabbing. For example, a thread about bust dime die states will generate a few posts from the local bust dime aficionados, but a thread about a bust dime with a gold CAC sticker in an old PCGS slab will get a lot more hits from the audience that posts to this forum. Hope this info. helps.

if you are not already a member of the John Reich Collectors Society, you owe it to yourself to join the JRCS. You get a journal three times a year that contains articles and research on early bust coins, including dimes. Membership information here: http://www.jrcs.org/membership.html

The 1824/2 is a better date. The JR1 shows up once in a while, but the JR2 is very hard to find.

Welcome to the boards. Not sure what exactly you're looking for in an 1824, but Dick Osburn has a VF-30 listed on his site

    Welcome to the forum.

I like them, but have found that it's hard to find nice, sharp, tic-free, original VF-XF ones online. I think that's partly because the web photos often don't flatter them because when small coin photos are presented close up, they show more "distracting" marks than larger coins do. You may be better off to see them in hand, at shows or B&M shops, etc. in order to get a realistic view of them.
