I don't think it's a record. I think I remember back in 1999/2000 that a few sold for around 100,000. That was also the time period when the si for kids tiger woods also sold for 100,000.
For $45k I would want the right side of the card to look better than this one does. Look in the upper blue and lower right part of the card. I would not call that a 10 nor pay $45k. Would pay $5-6k and get a 9 that looks just as good.

Yeah I remember seeing those on SAH and such back in my college days (early 2000s) and thought it was a big joke...I mean since when did people collect golf cards?
