Creating 1975 Red Sox registry set--but which card to include for Tim Blackwell?

I'm readying a request for a new key card set for the 1975 Red Sox. Basically, it's the rookie or key card of the members of the playoff roster, plus Jim Rice, plus the manager.
However, I'm in a quandary about which card to include of backup catcher Tim Blackwell.
Blackwell didn't have a Topps card until 1978, which would be considered his "official" rookie card, in Montreal Expos uniform. However, Blackwell did have a card in the 1976 SSPC set, and it was in a Red Sox uniform.
Obviously, to the extent that anyone would care about Tim Blackwell's rookie card, it would almost certainly be defined as the '78 Topps. But to me, including the SSPC makes a lot of sense, since it came out 2.5 years earlier, and is his first card in a nationally distributed and recognized big league set.
And having him in a Red Sox uniform in card that actually came out around the time the season ended makes a lot more sense than having him in an Expos uniform on a card that came out 3 years after the World Series in question.
What say you?

A stupid question from a guy who doesn't collect player sets... I see that Fisk and Cooper (and maybe one or two other pairs), share a card. For registry purposes, does one card fill both slots in a set?
Like everybody else thus far, I voted for the 76 SSPC.

From what I can tell, yes.
