Picked up an 81 fun pack today. This one has 81 football cello packs opposed to the wax packs along with basketball, by stickers and wanted posters.

Any idea of the rarity of the cello pack version?

    What are "by" stickers?!?! Did you mean wacky stickers/packages??

    That was a typo. It should have said 'FB' for football stickers.

    Oh okay, thanks David. Sorry I don't know the answer to your question; I own three fun pack bags but they're all from 1974 and 75. Not sure about 81 football cellos.

    Would love to see a couple of pics of the 1975 fun bag. I had a 1974 one with 8 each 2 card baseball and football packs, 8 green wacky packs (series 8?) and 6 full size basketball packs but it's long gone now.

    John, sorry but I was wrong saying they were from 74 and 75; they're actually all from 74 (or at least all the sports packs in them are from 74); for some reason i was under the impression that a couple of them were from 75 because they were actually manufactured in 75 (the topps product code on the bottom of the bag ends in a 5 on all three of them actually) using 74 packs but none of them have 75 sports packs. Two of them are identical and have 74 baseball, basketball, football packs and green 12th series wacky packs (which were released in january 1975) and the other has basketball, green wackys, creature feature and speed wheels. All three are gai encapsulated and if you would like I can send you pics of them.

    I have seen the following Topps Fun Pack Bags that have 1981 FB. I have the first 2 and saw the third one in an auction.

    - x10 1981 Football Wax Packs, x4 1980-81 Basketball Wax Packs, x2 1980 Football Cello Packs

    - x10 1981 Football Wax Packs, x6 1980-81 Hockey Wax Packs

    - x6 1981 Football Wax Packs, x6 1981-82 Basketball Wax Packs

    I haven't seen one with the 1981 Topps Football Cellos, but I don't think there are too many of them since football cello packs weren't produced in great quantities compared to wax.

    All of the Fun Pack Bags above are the $5 variety. The kids who bought the first bag got a much better deal than the kids who bought the second two.

    I remember these, I loved opening them.

    of course I separated all my basketball cards, still have them but what did I know?

    collecting RAW Topps baseball cards 1952 Highs to 1972. looking for collector grade (somewhere between psa 4-7 condition). let me know what you have, I'll take it, I want to finish sets, I must have something you can use for trade.
