Jim61's New Surprise Memphis Pick Up!

To celebrate the 55th anniversary of the SPMC, special notes were made with individually starred serial numbers! At the breakfast they were distributed to the attendees and I just happen to be at the right place at the right time when the stars aligned to pick up a note with Jim's name on it!!!

There was a silent auction for charity for SN's 1-5 and any remaining notes were offered at the club table for $5ea. If anyone is interested in picking up an example, contact the SPMC. They may be sold out and definitely will only have triple digit examples left.

Enough talk, here's Jim's new note! image

Something else that is super cool, the SPMC began in 1961 55 years ago. This note was the only one printed that bears the year that the club began!

That's awesome Jim! The LM61 will look amazing with the note. One of those things that you could not have planned better. The wild thing was I got there a bit late and everyone seemed to already be in the room. The chances of my getting this one were really slim to none.

That is a very thoughtful gift Tooky, I'm sure Jim greatly appreciates it. And I wouldn't be surprised if some SPMC member became a pilot after receiving theirs. image

I collect 13s. I tip my hat to a dealer friend who managed to get the serial number 13 ticket for me.
