The newsletter MPCGram (linky) tells of an epic collection of MPC coming to auction! The group has some truly unique notes sure to "still the heart" of anyone who collects these notes.
I am asking in advance, if anyone has a catalog for this auction I would be willing to pay a $10-15 finders fee to get it. I do not bid in auctions so I don't get those free catalogs. This will be a must have for any MPC collector as a reference to items seen once in a lifetime. If you can help me obtain one please PM me and a 'thank you' in advance. *** See my next post. ***
A quote from MPC expert Fred Schwan in the MPCGram: "After you get over the shock of this announcement, you will want to know whence came this collection. We do not have detailed information except that it came from a former government employee. I do not know if the person was military or civilian, but he or she received the bulk of the collection as a departing gift upon retirement. The collection was consigned to Stacks-Bowers by an heir after the death of the retiree. I do not know if more details will ever be available."
