    I was probably about 3 or 4 years old walking the sidewalks in downtown Chicago with my mom when she walked up to a man and said, "Aren't you Cassius Clay?" The man's response was "My name is Muhammad Ali". Too bad she didn't keep the autograph in a safe place

    Was a hell of a fighter who mixed brains and agility not seen since. The complete boxer at his peak. And quite the entertainer in/outside the ring. Known the world over. RIP Champ.

    No athlete will ever have the impact on society that Ali had in his day. He was on the level of world leaders, in terms of fame and influence. Rumble, young man, rumble.

    He was banned from boxing at his peak. He showed a great amount of courage standing up for his beliefs. He may have been brash and quite an entertainer as a boxer but he also had a great amount of dignity. I don't believe boxing will see the likes of him again. RIP

    I must say what he did was quite unpopular with the general public at the time, but considering Ali went to all the trouble coming home to Olympic gold and having to endure the same mindless bigotry. So can he really be blamed at all for the gov't to try to force Ali to fight against, in his words "didn't enslave me/us, didn't lynch us, didn't call us n-bombs, etc" -- would you have let yourself get drafted under those circumstances? And I have a great deal of respect for those who risk up to and including their lives to stand up for their beliefs like that.



    And my late grandpa Estil (WWII purple heart vet, who I was named after) was a big time Ali fan back in the day.

    Changing what I posted is odd. No one mentioned forged items....that's your spin.
    There are plenty of legit items that will suddenly be for sale at premium prices.

    Just for shock value. No. Really not trying to mess with you. I'm sensing the market will be flooded with bad stuff because some sellers will attempt to feed off the emotional vibe and get better money for their fakes. Sorry to have caused a stir.
